Grid64 provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product for chess tournament organizers. It enables event creation, player registration, and tournament administration.

Eligibility: Users must be 13 or older to create an account. Minors must be registered by a parent, coach, or guardian.

Geographic Scope: Grid64 is currently available in the United States only.
2. User Accounts & Responsibilities

Users must provide accurate information.

Prohibited activities include harassment, spamming, and cheating in tournaments.

Users must comply with all applicable laws.
3. Organizer Accountability

Organizers must act in good faith and fulfill their tournament obligations.

Cash-entry tournaments and public listings require manual verification.

Organizers must issue refunds if they fail to host an event.

Prohibited Transactions: Organizers may not use Grid64 to facilitate or promote any transactions that violate the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy or applicable laws. Prohibited transactions include but are not limited to:

Gambling-related events (excluding legal skill-based chess tournaments).

Fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive activities.

Any goods, services, or activities that PayPal deems restricted under their policies.

Organizers must act in good faith and fulfill their tournament obligations.

Cash-entry tournaments and public listings require manual verification.

Organizers must issue refunds if they fail to host an event.

Grid64 reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for TOS violations.
4. Payments & Refunds

Organizers pay subscription fees to access Grid64 features.

Players pay entry fees for tournaments.

Refunds are handled by organizers. Grid64 facilitates refunds when possible but is not responsible for organizer actions.

Cancellations & Refunds: If an organizer cancels a tournament or fails to host an event as scheduled, they are responsible for refunding all entry fees in full. Grid64 may facilitate refunds when possible but is not liable for organizer non-compliance. Organizers failing to issue refunds may face account suspension or removal from the platform.

5. Content Ownership & Restrictions

6. Disclaimers & Limitations

Grid64 provides the platform "as-is" without warranties.

We are not liable for losses due to tournament cancellations, organizer actions, or user misconduct.

We may mediate disputes at our discretion but do not guarantee resolution.

Product or Service Delivery Guarantee: Grid64 provides a platform for tournament organizers and players but does not guarantee the execution or quality of any tournament. Organizers are solely responsible for ensuring their events occur as scheduled and meet their advertised descriptions.

7. Termination of Accounts
